Bath Housing Appoints New Board Member and Officers

Bath, ME, June 28, 2016– Bath Housing Development Corporation is pleased to announce that Michelle Renaud Rines has joined its Board of Directors.  In addition, new officers include Mary Terry from Woolwich, ME as President and Catherine Powers from West Bath, ME as Vice-President.

Rines, a resident of Woolwich, ME, has her Master’s in Nursing with a concentration in gerontology. She has worked at Maine Medical Center, Androscoggin Home Health Services, and at MidCoast Hospital with the Geriatric Mental Health Resource Program.  She is an active community volunteer and currently serves on the board of the Patten Free Library, Morse High School Music Association, Merrymeeting Food Council Food Security work group, and as a volunteer at the LOCAL garden in Bath.

Bath Housing works to enhance housing stability for seniors, those with disabilities, and families in the greater Bath area.  Working with its affiliate, Bath Housing Authority, the organization addresses the shortage of safe affordable housing available to low income households.  Bath Housing serves over 325 households in the area through affordable apartments and housing choice vouchers.  Unfortunately, the need is real and many households in the greater Bath region have acute housing needs.
