Bath Housing Welcomes New Program Associate

Bath Housing is pleased to announce Amy Liechty as its new Program Associate.  Amy has her B.S. in Human Services with a focus in Counseling and Mental Health. She is a Licensed Social Worker, Conditional. Amy has extensive prior work experience in affordable housing, program development, social work and healthcare.  She previously worked at Preble Street in the Veteran’s Housing Services division.  Amy will be assisting community members with housing navigation as well as supporting the Bath Housing team.

Bath Housing works to enhance housing stability for seniors, those with disabilities, and families in the greater Bath area.  The organization addresses the shortage of safe affordable housing available to low income households.  Bath Housing serves over 325 households in the area through affordable apartments and housing choice vouchers.  Unfortunately, the need is real and many households in the greater Bath region have acute housing needs.

Bath Housing recently released the Bath Area Housing Assessment, which indicates the existing housing stock in the greater Bath region is not well suited to the changing demographics of this area.  The organization also just completed a Strategic Plan that identifies four priority areas for the future including increasing the supply of affordable housing and creating innovative programs to meet the extensive needs in the region.
